subaru impreza sti type uk 2003 or impreza type r ver 5?
hi all,
im looking to buy one of the above but cant make up my mind. Looking to spend maximum £12k. I know alot people say that the sti type uk's are more reliable, nicer interior etc, and the type r's are more fun. I wish i could get a reliable car that was over 400bhp but not alot of cars have that lol, so What do i do? either go and buy a type r that has already been tuned to 400bhp ish or spend a bit more money and buy sti type uk, but wouldnt be able to afford mods for a while?
any help please?
many thanks

Problem with buying a tuned car is that you HAVE to know who did the work, and that they know what they are doing ( and not just vague claims by the owner with no proof to back it up ).
Tuning an Impreza to 400bhp isnt massively hard, but doing it and making sure it wont blow up within a few weeks is a different matter !
If you can find a tuned car that has all the receipts for the work done, and its done by someone with a good reputation then go for that, otherwise I'd play it safe and get the UK car, and get it tuned yourself when you can afford it.

oh thats a tough one, the newage has loads of plus points but I'd go for the Type R myself, As said the newage are nicer inside and come with a good gearbox and brakes but a Type R is a better looking car in my opinion but even a mildly tuned 330 BHP type R would be awesome.
My Classic is around the 330 mark and is great fun to drive, it doesn't have the gearing of the type R which would make it even quicker off the line. As a few who know me already know mine is awesome down b roads.

As Danny said hard choice, but for me once again it would be the Type R.
Do like newage STI's but you can't beat a 2 door classic for looks.
Scoobyslammed's typre R has got one hell of a spec list and it's Black which is really nice and quite rare.
