I was chatting to andy at ace about the new shapes especially the hatchback versions. He said its to satisfy the australian market as that is where subaru has the biggest popularity and the most sales as such all owners want a hatchback based car rather than a saloon.
Now all we need if for them to chop the back end of a forrester STI and the australians have an STI "ute"
cheers

Anyone else see a Focus in there?
Yes I see focus and alfa romeo, and BMW and I can spot megane (Big a$$) in there, chopped up stuck together to make the new scoob, Why do subaru have to appeal to the aussies anyway, they only drives "utes" as I an said, scoobs are too small to carry BBq's and tinnys of XXXX

I rekon the silver pic with the small white ones that have appered in auto express will be pretty close. Some of the shots are pretty nice, not an overly bad looking car. Will be nice to see when it does arrive

Some one mentioned that the latest tax hike will have slashed a wedge off the value of the most recently produced Impreza's. Subaru just increased the prices of these at resale as who is going to buy the 2008 model. Everyone is going to be looking for the 2006-07 editions. The last of the saloons. Maybe Subaru will rapidly realise the error of their ways and return to the saloon before too long.

, some interesting variations on the Impreza
the one at the top of the page has similar lines to a 1 series BMW, dreadful IMHO.
