Me and some mates are off down to Cardiff for a Stag do on the 28th.

Anyone know good places to go and which pubs/clubs are the best?

And are we likely to get in anywhere or can we get on guest lists for places?

You'll get in anywhere.

 

O Neills in St mary St is as good a place as any to start, and either side of there is more bars and "jack and danny" than you can shake a stick at.

 

as its a stag i'm sure a trip to the Fantasy Lounge wil be in order Thats not far from O'Neils on ST. Mary street

 

Cheers peeps - already clocked the Fantasy Lounge - will they just let us in or should we give them warning?

Whats the prices like that way? (used to Surrey so figure it must be a bit cheaper!)

 

The IBIS does a per room per night rate, it very onvenient for town and there is a big car park and rail station close by.

There are some "uh uh" not so up market places on Newport Rd as well.

 

You'll get in most places mate, plenty to choose from, just follow the crowds.. and I expect you'll find it a bit cheaper than Surrey.. IBIS is good, there's a small Travelodge right in the centre of town and a Jury's, or if you're feeling flush the Hilton in the centre or St Davids Hotel in Cardiff Bay..!

We're staying in a chain hotel near the station, can't remember which, but its not the Travelodge - but just up the road from it...............

 

Tiger tiger is worth a look, but is quite a way from St Mary's street, walkable but not very nice if it's raining. It all depends on what sort of night you want, as it's a stag doo you probably want loose women in which case st mary's street with Oneil's, Flairs and walkabout are worth a look. plenty of clubs round there Risa, coninentals/No tens, sugar(members only or get on the guest list) etc.

Plus if you go to tiger tiger you have to walk back to st Mary's street for the fantasy lounge, thats normally a tenner to get in and 10-20 pound a dance depending on what you want to see (Not that I have been there)

If you fail with the ladies jump in a taxi and ask them to take you to ambassador's. Not sure how much they charge mind!!
