From: South Wales, Scoobless, Type R is gone!

£175 a year for us classic owners or anyone else registered before 2001.

Put me off buying an 06 STI in a few years, £210 for them now.

No! The £210 tax band only applies to car registered after 23rd of March 2006, so yours will be £190 if registered after 1st March 2001 and £175 if registered before.
