Highly dissapointed. Only pulled 233, which was lower than my last figure with a tek 2.5 added to it since!! Should have been around the 265/270 mark.
Definitely something wrong here, doesn't seem to be boosting as much either, only registering around 15psi instead of the ECU target of 17.5psi. So not sure what to do!!

How did everyone else get on?....any other surprises?...just aware that Sammy had mentioned about the posibility of big differences with rolling roads and the way they are operated.
Whatever the problem hope you get it sorted
Cheers m8, Gareth

Matt,
Dont be too disapointed - a lot of it is due to the PS dyno.
I thought you had a TEK chip in your car before, hence the previous 236bhp (i think), how much more is the TEK 2.5 supposed to give?
The trouble with these quoted figures for ECU replacements is that they are nearly always done dynos other than powerstation. As you know from last time your power was 260+ on the Gforce dyno.
The TD04 turbo has been quoted on SN as usually good for around 270bhp max.(on other dynos), i.e. probably around 245-255bhp at PS.
If you get your boost sorted you'll probably be around that figure.
I'll forward you a mail later from a chap who had a 300+bhp car measured on three different dynos (including PS) with exactly the same spec. its a shocker!

Yeah, I know that was a problem. Am going to do another day at G-force for Feb next year, they were so much better than PS that it was almost unreal! Plus Chris was willing to take time with each of us and look at any problems we were having, which was worth the extra time spent driving and the extra money for the runs.
Am still not a happy bunny though, and I have to be honest I am not going back to KP for any more repairs, I want to try somebody else now! Any suggestions of where to go?

What you need is someone with deltadash, that should pick up any problems, also compare your results with the others that went to Gforce and see what they had.
Or pop it round to me one day and i'll have alook for you

Thanks Sammy.
Have been considering investing in delta-dash as a toy for me laptop, but have had to spend so much over the last few months on bloody repairs I haven't been able to do it.
Drop me an e-mail to daltonm@rpsplc.co.uk, let me know where you are and when you are free etc and i will try and see what I can sort out.
Thanks for the offer!

Matt - don't worry about your results, if I remember there were'nt too many happy faces after their runs. Which now i'm glad I did'nt put mine on, it also proberly would of been down than what it was roaded at G-force and put a downer on Santa pod the day after.
I will speak to you in the week.
P.s. Have you sobered up yet, I heard you were a bit bladdered after the Rugby? and you were chanting BLAINE BLAINE for some reason

Any more results -
especially from people who went to santa pod and done 1/4 mile runs.
I've never done a timed run myself and curious what a similar powered car would do.
Cheers
Rich
P.s. I'll be up for a G-force run in Feb, sounds like you had a really good day last time.

I dont have a scooby, but heh, it doesnt matter. I beat alot of them anyway or came close. Beat a Skyline GTS-T though.
PS said i was only 170.5 bhp, but that cant be right as i ran a 15.203 @ 90.50. didnt get a chance to do a 3rd run. lost my ticket. Would have been able to get a 15.1 quite easily i think.
BTW i have a 1.8 VTI Civic. (AKA. Rover 400)

Ref honda you wont be far off because you have less losses through the transmission, most scoobies with the exception of 22b's loose around 100 bhp. Mine got 255.5bhp sat with 150bhp at the wheels. Power at the wheels is what is important
