Walked into the newsagents and saw this thing where you can build your own subaru radio controlled car by getting so many parts each week. Ive decided to give it a go.
Week one and the car looks like this ....

I spotted that today.....
First issue £1.99 and then every issue after that £5............
But how many issues till the car is built??
Wouldn't mind doin' that if it doesn't go on for years!!!!!

So magazine + car = (44 x £5.00) + (1 x £2.00) = £222
(and that's before you pay back-issue fees for the ones you miss!)
Wouldn't you rather just pay £200 now and buy an R/C Impreza from a model shop? That way you don't have to wait a year for it....

£81.50 plus £60 - £90 for radio gear and batteries...

Isn't it all about the fun of putting one together??
And the facility of being able to 'spread the cost' .......
........... having said that!!....... think I'll leave it and wait for a petrol one!!

Hi all, i've had the first issue just can't decide whether to carry on or not, you get a few freebies if you subscibe though. The thing is though once you have got the first issue you would kinda like to carry on so that you can say youv'e built it yourself.
James.
P.s Hi john seen your motor on ebay advertising those rally stickers, your not selling them are you, seens as that fella is selling them for a friend?

graphics have been advertised by the lad who owns the garage you can see in the picture and he owns the white one in the background. Martin, the lad who does them, doesnt have web access so Jay has done it for him.

advantage of the model is u can get piddled up and drive around the front garden sideways flat out, donut away etc
upsets the neighbours much less than using a real one for the same thing(its a bit quieter u see)
richie
ohh corner as well(nearly ready for the muppets)
