Today did a return trip to Gatwick. Passing Magor services, I noticed 2 cameras on tripods on the overhead bridge and just to the left hidden in the bushes was a bl00dy great big police van. This was around 1.00pm. Came back about 7.00pm and the little b@gger is still there - now with 4 cameras - 2 for each direction. Must be making a feckin fortune !!!!!!!! Thought these guys were to be made obvious and wear the old high vis jackets ???? There were no police on the bridge only the 4 cameras on tripods ???

Also noted on the way back around the Baglan Bridge area - unmarked police car - white Volvo plate CN 51 NUJ - with some poor sod pulled.

Be careful - the warm weather has brought them out in force !!!
(no pun intended)

We had a notice around work this week, from Newport to Bristol on the M4 there are new cameras in action, these are the type that monitor your speed over an average distance eg from Junction to junction, they know the time it takes to travel this set distance and they can work out your average speed over that distance, TAKE CARE

Coming down to South Wales this weekend, anything else I should know about?

The average speed camera's in the traffic information signs on the M4 story is bollox.

The van and camera's on tripod's are tax camera's operated by the police.
I was stopped, (though not by this lot) even though I had tax!
The car previously had a SORN on it, and it takes a while for the system to update

Red face

Never mind the M4 - the A449 between Newport and Monmouth
is getting bloody stupid.

I have seen 3 camera vans parked in the laybys the past week. Blue / Red / White.

And looks like I got done on Sunday!
Following two bikes and didn't see it until it was too late? -Bugger.

NWS - yeap still alive.

Been busy in work the last few months - mostly out on site or in europe. But back now - Have I missed a few mid wales runs?

In-laws are selling up due to a neighbour having a white impreza parked in their drive, concerned about the affect on their property price (chuckle).
