Ah, they are the ones on the end of the T shape that holds the diff in place. Part number 6?

The end ones do go as they are nearest to all the crud that gets thrown up from the road by the wheels. They can be a bitch to change but use a 1.5 inch key hole saw on the rubber and then hacksaw through the inner tube next to the outer edge.
