Sorry to hear it's ended up like this Lee, I'm sure plenty of breakers end up binning the glass they remove from cars as its a pain to wrap and invariably ends up getting smashed during transit.

I'll keep an eye out for you though if I see any being broken locally.

thanks guys the scratches are to deep and the glass when cut back then polished has left ripples in the glass so need new

lets hope that I learned my lesson as a cheap dent group buy is and has ended up costing me 3 new side windows aswell as a 30 pounds polishing kit, expensive day in the end and almost forgot a few hours going to take to fit new windows , plus phone calls and so on

heres the damage again

I'm baffled as to how they got there lee?
A power cable from a tool rubbing on the glass or something a bit more harsh? Did a anyone else have similar issues albeit to a lesser extent?
I feel for you bud I know how much you love and look after your car's, and then somebody shows disregard to all the effort you've put in.
Hope you can sort it without too much more aggro.

What I think went wrong is im the last to be done but my car was on his drive next to Danny boys as he wanted them both together as we were dodging in and out of the rain so he thought it was better to get the last two side by side , he worked on danny's first then instead of cleaning my Windows down and his tools just went straight on to my car ,

how it works with dents in doors is they put Windows fully down and insert a small board in front of the window and then put different size metal rods down the window opening then push against the board and window to work the dents out ,

As said he was rushing and went straight on to mine without stopping so I assume his board and not cleaning my Windows as they were wet has led to this

I have spoken to my mate who works in a glass factory and he said that they look so deep it would be impossible to get away with the Windows not showing distortion

No one else had a problem on the day but it was the rushing at the end to put two cars side by side to work on and again he just went straight to mine and started straight away , all the other cars had to pull of the drive which gave him time to clean his tools etc and sort him self

Feel for you Lee!

Very bad workmanship!

Make sure the windows you replace them with are the right tint.

Try David at API mate, I'm sure he will have one knocking about.
