There's a lot of speculation about the new Ken Thorne Subaru Dealership, a lot of people are asking if their up to the job of looking after such a special car ?
Well i have just come from Ken Thorne's and from first impressions i have to admit that i am impressed with the set up down there. They have just provided me with a couple of goodies for the Margam show this sunday( scooby sign and flag). At present they dont have any Subaru trained tech's but they are due to be trained very soon. They know what we are looking for in a garage and they have stressed that they are going to do there very best to become a reputable dealership. They have a good set-up and they realise that its not the buying & selling of the Subaru's thats most important but the after sales service and maintenance of the car's.
If first impressions are anything to go by then i think we might finally get a decent dealership in Swansea, i think the biggest problem facing them is being under the Ken Thorne banner, lets hope they can prove us all wrong and establish themselves as a popular and reliable dealership............Watch this space !

 

I called there the other weekend. Got the same impression, they were serious about the cars/dealership and were intent on giving it a good go.

ScoobyP1...it's no wonder you took off from the garage like a bat-out-of-hell, did you nick their signs? It was me coming the other way!

i called down there last weekend, they didnt seem very clued up, tried telling me that the p1 they have for sale was a saving of 9 grand, that the new p1 was 33.5k, told me you couldnt get the new sti in silver, and at the moment ur scoob would be serviced by the chrysler/jeep part

believe it or not P1's are selling for that price. Nobody wants the new shape model so the P1 is holding its value very well. As for the other things, well i did say that the tech's havent been trained yet and they are just starting up, cant blame them for not knowing everything quite yet

 

If theyre anything like KT in Cardiff theyll be the pits.
Guy I work with waited 13 months for them to sort out a simple poroblem.

As the ad says Ken Can....... but only when he wants to!!

I'm not to keen on the idea of them working on my car either but they wont be able to prove themselves if nobody takes their car to them.
