Hi gents,

An update; we have successfully converted late type 6 speed gearbox bellhousings from non speedo [ Hatch onwards + Legacy ] to speedo drive type. We have done this before, but sadly the engineer that was doing them died and we have struggled to find an engineering shop that can handle it. [ at an economic cost ]

This entails a fair amount of machining after a jig has been made, as the speedo driven gear locating hole is a complex shape that works through two different angles.
Plus there is an angled oil feed hole that needs to be bored also.

Working with your original clutch housing, we can convert them at a cost of £200.00 + carriage and VAT,

Turnaround time, ideally in batches of 2 or more, [ to make set up time viable] will be 5 – 7 working days. Singles can be done if you are in a hurry, but will add £20.00 + VAT to the cost.

We can also supply the necessary speedo gear internal parts [ at extra cost ] that you will need, if you wish. The original external speedo sender fits, whether it is plastic type or alloy type, they are all the same, no matter 5 speed or 6 speed

Call if I can help.

David
