Question **New product , Aloy air con bracket

^^Alloy air con tensioner bracket

I was looking at a bracket from my car today and there is no reason why we can't make these in a nice alloy version , anodised with a new stainless bolt.

Part will be made on our cnc mill - and this maybe the first part we make on our new cadcam software , so it will have a very nice finish with some lovely rads which will hod its strength like the steel ones

This is the part I am talking about .....

SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI AIR CON BELT TENSIONER on eBay (end time 27-Aug-09 23:05:27 BST)

Not sure on costs yet , depends on who's interested

Can I make a suggestion. Many people adapt their oe brackets to flip the altenator to allow for front entry manifolds. I myself did this and then made a makeshift tensioner and idler to keep the belt out of the way.

If there was an off the shelf product for this I know I would buy one ather than faff about with an angle grinder. What you are palnning to make is nearly there and could be make to work with a little tweaking.

Default Prices

Retail price would be £45+vat, but this would include the long 8mm left handed bolt in stainless ( which are quite expensive for what they are) and two new stainless bolts . Anodised any colour

Let me know who is interested and i'll give discount from there

depending on the discount I'd be interested. £45 is maybe a tad too much (for me) to replace a bracket, no matter how shiny and beautiful it is!

Hey,

As above, I would list these on the website for that price.

I would probably be able to do just the bracket on its own for £20+vat each,

But then you have the bolts, anodising, delivery on top ( if you want them that is)

mmm,I like what i see, nice to get pics of the process involved...

I'd be interested if there were a group buy like we had with the pulleys to bring the price down a little,
i appreciate that there is a fair old chunk of alloy being used!,
and i wouldn't mind paying extra for the nuts and bolts necessary to make it look nice when fitted,
so if you could start a group buy for this Chris i will gladly add my name and we will see how it goes!?

just my opinion
Regards

If you happen to start this in a new topic pls add a link here, thanx

Default Group buy prices -

If we can get 10+orders on these I can do them for

£20+vat

Bolts/nuts are £7 in stainless (They are expensive because the long one is left handed .

Anodising any colour £4+vat

Delivery £4

Please put down what you need , these are newage brackets but will source a classic one out if we get the orders.

On another note, you will need to keep that standard part that bolts into the bottom of the long bolt as we are not making these yet, this parts sits behind the pulley and you can see it

Thanks
