all "kits" include the exchange UJ (5spd only) or UJ bushes (6spd only) as well as the uprated steady bush - 6spd kits also include internal yoke bushes

early Impreza / Legacy Turbo 5spd

later UJ revision Impreza / Legacy / Forester 5spd

new-age 6spd Impreza

we also supply various short shifter and other uprated gearbox related bushes from Kartboy, Whiteline, SuperPro, etc. as required

A write up or how to on the 6 speed kit would be great. As I'm quite interested in the kit.

I bought a Prodrive 5sp short shifter and replaced the old bushes with uprated versions (kartboy poly bushes, not solid/nylon versions from AS Performance). Fitting is straight fwd but was made a lot easier as I did it when changing my exhaust over which gives greater access. The only thing I struggled with was getting the pin out of the UJ attached to the gearbox (should have asked Alyn for some tips first) and ended up leaving the original one on place.

Here's some pics I took on my thread:

Removes nearly all of the slack in the gear stick and makes changes a lot sharper

Alyn, I'm after the smaller bush kit, NOT the big one but the others, is there 3 or 2?
Think there is a bush closer to gear gaitor and 2 on linkage. Is that correct?

Thread resurrection!

I recently ordered a set of 5speed bushes from Alyn and I believe it's one of the best mods I could ever have done on my Type-R!

The gearshift is so precise now, it totally transformed the driving experience!

And as always, dealing with Alyn is always a pleasure and customer service is second to none...

Thanks Alyn!

Easier to phone him (I think he's a bit old school and prefers conversations) he answers quickly.

He don't list owt on website, most items in stock, as said he's oldskool.

I don't know what my linkage was like before, but as I built it I fitted these bushes to my 6 speed before fitting and all my gear selections are precise with no wobble at all.
Be good to give a comparison but I cant unfortunately.
