Hiya Pramrace!
Croft is near Darlington so have a wee look on the map.
faiing that you could come up the M6, come off at Tebay J38 and take the A66 to scotch corner, then head for darlingon and its sign posted from there. or you could try round up through leeds then u=p the A1m, not sure which would be easiest without looking at my map, and thats out in the car so youve had it
Probably allow 3 hours from chester to be on the safe side!
