"SCOOBYCLINIC SPRINT EVENT" Blyton 2nd oct
Hi,
The very fact we have an ice driver weekend to give away, gave rise to our original idea of the purchase of a billet turbo giving free entry to a prize draw seem a little limited, so we have organised a sprint challenge at the newly re-surfaced Blyton Park raceway instead.
In association with JAVALIN trackday events it will take place on Sunday the 2nd of October 2011.
All makes and models will be welcome especially scoobs of course and Scoobyclinic tech staff will be in attendance to give technical assistance including mechanical and computer diag on the day.
The entry fee for competitors will be £125.00, spectators very welcome entry fee to be confirmed but we are pushing to make it free.
The private entry (non tuner) winner of the day receives this worth over £900! ............
An adrenaline packed weekend in Sweden driving our ice driver scoob on the frozen lakes all expenses paid including accommodation and the flight.
This whole event will over the next few days evolve, we hope, and if successful we will run it next year as a sprint series, allowing owners of tuned cars to let their hair down with the possibility of a great prize, a prize better than any seen in other race series such as Time Attack or the nippon challenge etc.
A web page with details about the day and on-line entry for competitors should be live within a few days.
Any views are welcome please don't hesitate to call to book in or wait for the on-line booking to go live, let it evolve.
cheers

After a few PM's asking us how we are policing the prize draw, various ways have been put forward. one in particular was to give every paying entry automatic entry in to the prize draw, much like a raffle with a track day throw in!
Seems from further PM's this does not suit as it removes the competitive edge.
We now think a combination of a prize draw and any winners can be achieved by creating a number of classes such as completely standard, modified to a certain point, 400bhp class etc.
The winner of each class gets an entry into the prize draw, The winning entry to be picked on the day, this means it's fair, competitive and someone will walk away with a great prize!

There is now a "holding page" on the web for the Scooby Clinic Sprint and can be found at http://www.attackatrack.com. The website, which will include an online booking form, is close to completion and should be online in the next few days.
Anyone wanting to register their interest for the sprint before the website is fully operational should navigate their way to http://www.attackatrack.com and send an email to the address shown at the bottom of the page.
Classes are still being finalised but are likely to follow a similar pattern to SSO, TOTB and Grudgement Days where entrants are split into FWD, RWD, 4WD, Standard, Modified and Pro.
I'll post further details as soon as they become available.

It's not good news I'm afraid guys.
I've just this minute read an email from Javelin and it looks like we're going to have to postpone this event. Time is the main contributing factor I think, I don't know anymore than that at this moment I'm afraid.
Please note the use of the word postpone not cancel!
I'll make a couple of phone calls later on this morning and post again as soon as I have more information.

Right, update time....
I've just got off the phone to Colin at Javelin Trackdays. The decision has been made to run October 2nd as a demo event just to see what the uptake is, there will be no classes and no prizes for this.
The Ice Driver weekend will be up for grabs at a later date.
Colin is working on the website today and hopefully I'll be able to post a link shortly.
