track day prices
#1
Just got the "On-track" dates and prices through
£245 for a weekday at donngington, £345 for silverstone & brands gp, even cadwell is £195
this is all for 20 minute sessions (fair enough if its open pit lane)
Is it just me or are track day prices reaching very silly levels ? Even the Easytracks are charging 170 for 20 minute sessions at places like outlon and brands indy - when you get there the track is like the M25 with everything from 100bhp 205's (me...) to 500 bhp evo's on slicks.
Couple of years back 90 - 120 was the going rate, have the track owners increased their charges by 100% over the two years ?
I guess the positive side is that its looking like economic sense to go racing...

looks a bit steep Jon
I think I'm paying £129 for Cadwell with MLR in March
Donington Trackzone is 150ish (although the 3 hour evening sessions at £105 look expensive)
Quite fancy Anglesey for a weekend myself

We are at Knockhill all day tomorrow. £55 per driver, open pit lane. No extra fees for additional drivers. Wheel/tyre/brake suppoer vehicle there all day as well. Price includes free instruction if required from resident instructor
Will admit though it was a special winter price from Knockhill, who discounted it due to the fact we (SIDC) are good customers, and have booked up 5 slots this year in total.
I think a few track day companies have been stung a bit recently, with some events not being fully subscribed. This means they have probably lost money on them, and have increased prices to help balance the books.
