I'm out on the early session at Trax 2001 which means I'll really have to leave home before 6:00, which is a bit early for the kids. I could come on my own, but I think the kids will find Trax an interesting day out.

So, does anyone know somewhere good to stay the night before that's not too far from Silverstone? Not to keen on Northampton (apologies to anyone who lives there), would prefer somewhere a bit more out-of-the-way, but within walking distance of a decent restaurant. Budget doesn't stretch to staying at Althorp

 

Try Stony Stratford (nr MK) The George Hotel used to be v.good, there is a travel lodge nr silverstone but will probably b full, or there is at least one hotel in Towcester but cannot remember the name.
