Dont know about everybody else but I had a great time on Sat at Rockingham. Track was very slippy first thing, but then once it had dried it was a great track. Really nervous on the banking at first as the concrete walls seemed too inviting, but the infield was great fun with plenty of space to slide it around. Half hour sessions were too much for my car though and wore my pads completely out, requiring an early departure unfortunately !!

Thanks also to John Felstead for a very entertaining ride round in your mental machine. A truly awesome display.

oops, just posted in general...

good day, but i think that track was just too hard on the brakes - first the 100+ off the straight into the hairpin, then after the left right switch a hard brake for the left hairpin, sweep left and another hard brake for the second gear right hairpin. Blat round to the right and then stand on the brakes for the final left hairpin onto the banking. 120 under the timing lights (with all the caterhams flying by...) and brake down for the chicain.

Totally stuffed brakes & tyres.

oh well

wasnt to impressed with the tvr or the "nemisis" thing though...

I was seriously unimpressed with the yellow Elise who I watched going past a number of people on the inside of corners under braking. Very surprised he wasnt chucked off to be honest.

You're right though, the TVR and Nemesis were not impressive at all.
