I'll be there - RB5WR. Can someone post the start/sign on times as I've not got a pack yet and need to phone the SIDC tomorrow.

Hoping to have some track wheels by then, too!!

Current forecast (from a mate at the met office) is 20% possibility of showers late afternoon/evening. This has come down from about 60% chance they were forecasting on Monday.....

Yes Please, if only for a couple of laps.

Almost ready, need to see PeteC tomorrow, then pick 'new' slicks on Friday on the way.
Other than that, ready to roll and looking forward to it.

Wagons Roll (or is that Wagons Rule )

David, Red 5Dr

P.S. Always willing to take passengers with the appropriate wristband. I also have a spare helmet if needed. Just find me and ask

PTMW - You know I'm going, I've cleaned my mirrors in preparation!!!

Lot of talk about slicks for Friday. What's a rough cost for a set for 16"ers?

Is the scooby designed with slick use in mind? I would have thought the extra grip generated puts much higher loadings on the suspension, chassis etc etc?

I'll be there,

just want to make the point that this is my first track day, and as such I shall be driving like a complete girl. No offence girls.

So if any of you nut cases come up behind a 22B, dont worry, I'll move out the way.

I get all phased by people driving behind me

Ian,

Once you sign your life away (indemnity forms) you'll be given a wristband. Normally its one colour for drivers, another for passengers. No driver should ever take out a passenger without the correct wristband.

I think passengers are allowed?

Hunt me down, you're welcome to a ride.

Adam, you drive like a girl on the road, so nothing will change then.

whereabouts are you then? how long will it take to get from where ever you are to bedford? what time do you reckon we should meet up?

i'm not sure what time i'll be leaving yet.

I'm bringing my brother-in-law as a passenger but he doesn't arrive back from tenerife until sometime tomorrow morning.....

I'll probably aim to leave around 1pm though if he's delayed it may be nearer 2pm and a mad dash....

I'll be there (P1 recently thrashed to within an inch of it's life by Don Palmer at Bruntingthorpe) and I know Dave T-S is also attending .

I have the usual P1 dissolving front spoiler paint on my car so, in the absence of Stef, I bags the first kitty litter visit.
See you tomorrow (P**JGH)

Any suggestions on the best way to get there from Swindon??

It seems I can either go up the A361 (paying homage as I cross the M40 at Banbury) then down the M1 and to the south of Northampton

OR

Go up through Oxford, Bicester, Buckingham (testing the Geodesy lets me know about all the bloody Gatsos) - this was seems to be on far more minor roads.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the wrist band info. Do you have to pay (not being tight just want to know )to get a passenger band and do I sign up on site?

I'll take as many laps as you kind folks will offer & I'll stick the camera in the car to say thanks.

Really looking forward to my 1st SIDC doo.

Cheers

havent received my pack either.

Do I need it?

Danny, I know I drive like a girl on the roads, which is why I assume I might on the track too.

At least it is safer that way.

But i'll tell you what, I will drive like a nutcase on the road if you promise to pay for even 1 wing in the event of an off!
