Ok
Couple of answers to Questions
Brands for a Novice, After the briefing a number of track sighting laps may be an option. Sighting laps are there not just for novices but also those who have never driven Brands.
Days format will be governed by the conditions and input from the Track officials and instructors.
Instructors are available and come highly recommended both know the circuit very well and are very used to Scoobies as they also support other southern scooby track events at Castle Combe, Goodwood and also SIDC driver training
at Bruntingthorpe. Infact only last week Mike was driving a WRC Focus and a Group N Scooby.
If you want an instructor my advice is to book one sooner rather than later as i expect everyone will want a slot first thing.
In parallel depending on the number of newbies may request that "hands" go out as passenger to help bed the day in.
Intent is that all attendees will be sent notes for the event prior to the day

10 weeks to go for this event.
Perfect way to start the new year (after driver training at Bruntingthorpe in Jan off course).
Any one else, or has the approaching Crimbo silly season removed your interest in fun motoring?.

Just 8 weeks to go to this event time to start thinking about
Oil change/service ready for the event
Condition of brakes and discs
Condition of tyres i.e. will they last the day and get you home afterwards
Track insurance or not
Helmet for the day
Logistics of day (Give yourself time to get there on time).

Do you have a contact number, and an idea of cost and what's covered?
It's relatively uncommon in bike trackdaying (a more difficult risk to quote for, perhaps). Sensible money tends to be spent on an un-insured dedicated track-bike instead, and I guess that's the way the car market's going too (reminiscent of bike trackdaying 5 years ago!)

Speak to UkJohn1 over at Essex Scooby Crew, His last outing at Snetterton cost him (or should I say the insurance company) £4500
On a positive note, the Pug is back up and running with a new cambelt to boot as well

Hi Andy
Trackday insurance is provided by Eggar Lawson and their number is 0115 941 5255. However we may be able to get a further discount based on numbers - so sugest we start a list for those interested in taking out cover and I think if we can get 10 or more then we could be in for a 10 to 15% discount. I'll speak to Stormy about this one tomorrow,
I would whole heartedly recommend the insurance as I wrote my P1 off at our last trackday - fortunately I was covered
Cheers
Terry

Track Day Organiser
There are only a couple
I am trying to get the shop adjusted at the moment
Unlikely that a half day is possible but you have my number call me on the day and if we have some early retirements or no shows I am sure we can oblige
