This post is a for a summer event that Scoobynet should know about - apologies in advance to mods if it is the wrong section

Few of you may have seen info on the GT battle event @ Rockingham on June 25th

The site is still under constuction and more info will be up in the next week - TOTB champion Rocket Ronnie has confirmed that he will compete in the Time attack

The top Drift drivers from the Uk and Eire will compete in a Twin Drift Battle

The facilities @ Rockingham are amazing - most important a Massive covered grandstand for all spectators and unlike the Pod if it rains the action will still run

Tha main events are Time attack, Drift Battle and a RWYB 0-60 Traffic Light Grand Prix

there will also be RC drifting , 4x4 off roading and Skate and BMX displays

Im sure that there are many cars on here that would be competetive in the time attack and 0-60 challenge???

It would be great if you arrange a big Scoobynet club stand to show off your cars ?

i will be sure to keep you guys posted on any news and im gona ask for your help in spreading the word about this event

Today i heard that SUMOPOWER said they would enter their Evo8 Time Attack Car and Nissan350Z Drift car

GT battle update

To Compete in Time Attack and Drift Battle

You will need a valid drivers licence
A car in roadworthy condition
Tyres that are considered road legal in the UK, US, Europe
A crash helmet
Rollcages, fire extinguishers, race suits and other equipment are highly recommended but not vital at this time. Although we
have to abide by any rule changes imposed upon us by the MSA and the officials at Rockingham

Entry costs for the Time Attack or the Drift Battle are now confirmed at £75.

Over 5hrs of Track Time is available to competitors before the Finals:

Competetitors will recieve a pair of "Access all areas" Pit Passes for the driver and his/her passenger.

We also plan to allow COMPETITORS ONLY to purchase upto 4 additional Pit Passes for friends/mechanics at the reduced rate of £15each.

RWYB ZERO-60 runs will be for 3 runs at £15

GT Battle is an all new car event for your calendar. Held at Rockingham Motor Speedway, GT Battle plays host to:

Tuners and the public can enter their cars and compete head to head in their chosen discipline.

ON THE DAY FUN
Numerous Trade stands have already agreed to be at GT Battle. We have a varied range of traders to keep you and your family or friends occupied. The majority will be in a trade village area (that is situated behind the main Time Attack viewing grandstand) with more in the inner paddock area.
On the day music/sounds/tunes will also be available within it's own 'chill out area'. Along with this ICE will run side by side. We are in talks with one of the major providers for this and details will be
released soon. You will not be disappointed.
We are in talks with some of the main Games software/hardware providers so stay tuned for more details on what will be available on the day.
Fancy a bit of 4X4 fun?
Rockingham has a brilliant 4X4 course that runs around the perimeter of the oval track and lasts for around 30 minutes. They use BMW X5's and can take upto three paying passengers at a time.
OTHER ATTRACTIONS
GT Battle provides much more than just trackside action!
Try your hand at radio controlled drifting on our sponsored R/C drift circuit. Drifting is the hottest thing to sweep through motorsport, with R/C drifting following right behind it.
CLUB STANDS
GT Battle not only has the best on-track action this side of the sun, but provides club stands for car clubs. An ideal venue for an official club event, or an opportunity to browse the superb cars that are not venturing out on track.
TRACKPHOTO

'Adrenalin Alley'

Commonly known as Nascar these cars reach high speeds around the around the Rockingham Oval and you will be able to book yourself a ride in one of them. Watch for more details.
Dream Car rides around the Rockingham Infield
