7th Nov. Donnington National or GP Circuit ?
#1
We have the opportunity to run the full GP Circuit @ Donnington rather than the National Circuit on 7th November.
I have been given mixed views on which would be the best to run. My personal opimion is to run with the GP Circuit for no other reason than I have never done it.
I would like to have other peoples views though before the decision is made, bearing in mind the GP Circuit is rarely run for track days only International Race meetings.
Simon.

Sounds good - not done the full circit for a while - how much??
Edited to say, my vote would be for the full GP Circuit, as this is not as freely available as the National Circuit.

Quite a few people groaned when it was announced at two trackdays at Dono recently, it's very hard on brakes. TBH I much prefer the National circuit.
But I shan't be there, so makes no difference to me

The day is £165, open pit lane, free instruction, free hot and cold drinks in the pit lane garage. You will get the usual 10 % discount as a ScoobyNet member.
So is that 1 vote to run the GP Circuit ?

Hi Redkop Good to see you on Saturday. So I am right there are mixed views on which circuit people prefer. I still want to go for the GP though
Graemes thoughts on brakes are...... You only brake on 2 more occasions, but save your brakes breaking into the chicane on to the Melbourne loop because you brake 50 yds earlier than you would on the National circuit.

Hi Simon the thoughts felt by other people were.... you can't get such good speed down Starkeys, having to break harder and earlier for turning into M/Loop and you have to take Goddards much slower, so don't get such good exit speed on to the pit straight.

GP please Simon.......
Fanbloodytastic price as well for the full circuit
Having done the National many, many times and the GP only once it'll make a nice change

Yep, been in the car whilst it was being set up by Chris Marris at Oulton. Awesome vehicle, twin engined 4 wheel drive. The car was spinning all its wheels past the start / finish line. Thought that was 1300cc engines though ?

Yes in car camera's are OK at Donington, don't even think you have to sign any forms. I will find out 1st thing in the morning for you, so grab me or Graeme and we will sort it out for you. Frank, the marshal in the pit lane will probably just check the mount is OK.
