HI Newbie from midlands here, is it possible to just spectate? my brakes need replacing and I'm bit of a track day virgin so i want to come along and see how it's done!

 

Yeah anyone can spectate and it costs nothing too

 

What's the meeting? Interested in going to spectate for the day. Very limited funds at the moment!!

so you don't know how the brakes go then ian? out of interest why have you put vented disks on? everywhere I've read says westies, and especially light ones don't need the vented disks, they just add weight.

Hiya Greg,

don't know how the brakes are really - they are pulling to the left a little too. The kit we have on our car isn't from westfield themselves. The caliper is a motorsport unit designed for single seater (read < 700kg cars). The bells are for MKii ford escort hubs (a la most westfields). The vented disks were just in the kit - we have an option to return to solid if they dont work out.

To be honest, the brakes are less important right now....getting the car running again is whats important.

Doh! Good luck! did you weight the vented discs vs the unvented ones at all!
