Just wondered if anyone was thinking of going on the
SIDC trip to the isle of man on 18-22 september.
I missed it last year, but it sounded like fun

Anyone going ?
Greg

Put it this way, I've had over 30 enquiries so far from people, within 2 days of announcing the event
We already have quite a few booked up (paid the £40 deposit) to guarantee them their room in the Hilton (once it fills up, people will get moved to other hotels around the Douglas area), so it should be a fantastic event

Hi. YES YES YES! Do it. I went over last year and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I guess we had over 40 cars in total and gorgeous weather to boot. Fingers crossed for the same this year (I've booked already). It's a wonderful opportunity to get to know your Scoob on some de-restricted, fabulous driving roads. The scenery is also a great selling point and the weekend always gives you the chance to explore the island on your own. Plus, you'll be in great company as I found everyone to be of the same mind-set and just out there to enjoy their cars and get away from everything for a bit.
I heartily recommend it as the other car clubs invited are sure to provide some interesting motors and talking points
Maybe see you there. Nick.

Book up as Nick says we had a fantastic time last year, top organisation, nothing too much trouble and the attension to detail was second to none, company was excellent, time to party & the roads
Tony
Booked this lunch time, at the Hilton, so you should be fine
Nick
How are you, see you soon at the Northern Big One hopfully & again on the Island

John, that's what I call service!
Paul, good to hear from you. Yeah I'm good and Scoob's fighting fit. Looking forward to Lightwater - should be a huge event. 200+ Scoobs already and still counting. I'll look out for your new motor amongst the throng and hopefully catch up with you there. As you say it may well be v.busy so if I don't see you I'll meet you all at Heysham 18th September.
Love to the family.

Hi John & the Crew
Bob & Angela Fuller here. Just booked the mother-in-law to look after the kids so will be attempting to book tomorrow. We had a GREAT time last year so looking forward to it provided we can get in the Hilton with you lot!!
Any chance of a track outing whilst we are there again?

Bob,
I'll check to see if we can get a track session booked on the "free" afternoon.
We've still got quite a few rooms pencilled in for us at the Hilton, so there shouldn't be a problem if you book up quickly.

Thanks John, lets hope you can, as I have to be faster on the straight than my wife this time (135 mph)!!
All booked up today. Still room at the Hilton if anyone else is interested.
See you all in September.

Just been informed that we can now participate on a track event at Jurby on the Saturday as part of the 2003 Manx Classic Cavalcade
The cost will be £100 for the whole day (last year was £50 for the half day, but we stayed on a little bit longer
), and will be strictly limited to a maximum of 80 cars. With over 400 cars expected to be taking part on the event, I'd advise anyone who is thinking about doing it, to pre-book the event as early as possible. The event will be run from 9am to 5pm, and probably without a formal 1 hour lunch break (ie you can keep going all day!)
Booking forms for the track event will be available from Magic Holidays/FAD Promotions next week, and we'll get them up on the SIDC website asap for people to download.

Bob,
if you speak to FAD, then they'll give you the run-down on the track event. I spoke to their chap on the phone for about 40 minutes one night, and explained all about it.
SIDC website - been too busy I'm afraid - started a new job recently, and been a bit swamped.

OK spoke to Martin Wootten last night (e-mail mwootten@lineone.net) who is sorting out the track event. He's e-mailing me a booking form later today, but you can always contact him directly if you wish (can also phone on 01202 474358).
Apparently we have 35 - 40 people booked up so far, which is more than we had at this same point last year

I'm starting to get excited now - the boss only approved my time off today (and it would have been such a shame if I'd had to come down with... oh, I dunno, leprosy, the day before!)
I'll be there taking pics again - here are some of last year's as a reminder for those who went and a taster for those who didn't
