Carlimits.com (aka 1stlotus.com) are running an airfield "track" day at North Weald Airfield on March 7th for just £35 open to all cars.

I've been to two of these 'fun days' before and they are great way of improving your skills in a very low risk environment because if you get it wrong then you just spin / slide around on a massive expanse of concrete with nothing to hit.

They set up various different track set ups including
- High speed bend (good opportunity to go sideways at 90mph with nothing to hit)
- long track
- short track (fig of eight stylie)
- slalom

The amount of the airfield which is made available to us depends on the number of people that book and so the number of different 'tracks' to get set up (using cones) also varies.



Last time I went there was a Ferrari 355 and Porche 911 Turbo there and a bevvy of Elise, MX5, MGF and me as the lone Scoob driver - It would be good to have a few more Scoobys there to show the elise drivers how to do it in comfort !!!!

This event has been cancelled due to low numbers.

I'll repost it when I have a new date for the next one.

I live in Romford and have been VERY interested in the airfield events at North Weald (about 20mins from me) If and when this event ever happens again I may be able to get a few other cars to go, are you going to post if it comes round again?????
