At Donno an 'Open Pit Lane' format is being used. How does this differ from sending groups cars out for a set number of laps.

It means you can go on and off track as you wish during your session.

Go out when you want, for as long as you like, and come in when you want.

Basically unlimited track time, and no pressure to stay out longer than you feel the car can take, just to get the most of your session like get you with fixed session events.
