British Rallycross champ Pat Doran will take part this year in his full blown RS200 which wil be spectacular to say the least!
Pat will be competing in class D as a non road legal car along with his son Liam in a Fiesta ST rallycross car.

 

whats the spec on these cars?

 

feckin quick having seen pat wipe the floor with far newer machinery including wrc spec focus. circa 840 bhp and performance ford tested 0-60 in 1.7 secs

 

Sorry to correct but I thought the Fiesta is Pats car and the RS200 is Liams? Must have repaired the RS200 coz it dropped a valve at Pembrey a while ago. Pats Fiesta has a tuned cosworth lump and I think the RS200 has the same. They both are restricted to approx 550bhp by the british rallycross rules but only by an inlet on the turbo (not sure if they'd remove it for the event ) and they run launch control so are quick off the mark! Gone are the days when they were 750+bhp but you'd never see them go by with that much power.....................just hear them!

 

Pat has listed the RS200 on his form and the Fiesta for Liam so have to see. plan is for a heads up between the pair and also one of them against Keith Cowies RB skyline around 1pm. should be interesting! :-)

 

pats regular race car was practically destroyed by fire,hes competing the rest of the season in another st that was to be prepared for next season so not fully up to the spec they'd want so maybe thats why hes taking the rs200.If he does it could be very interesting

Went to Croft today to the rallycross and saw the RS200 and it sounds awesome. Liam was driving and he had a bit of a shocker stoving it into the armco in practice, then after his team spent 3 hrs welding rebuilding the front end he went out in his first race and mullered a tyre wall on the first lap and took the front end off again. He did not look a happy camper . Hope he can keep it on track at TOTB .
