MY01 Ebach Springs
Have booked my car into Falkland Performance to get Ebach Springs fitted and Geometry done to my MY01.
I know the new Ebach springs for the MY01 are not yet available however what are the plus and negative points of fitting the older type Ebach springs?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Are you talking about STi or WRX? I ask because the "Prodrive" Eibachs are out for the WRX but not the STi and are very good.
The older Pro Kit Eibachs are also very good on the WRX (don't know about on the STi) and are a little stiffer than the Prodrive ones....

How much were you quoted? I think they should be £199 plus fitting (which should not cost more than about £100).
The Eibach greys are about £130. Best thing to do is to go to Powerstation to get it done as they can also do your Geometry properly!!

I got quoted £460 to supply and fit the prodrive springs on my WRX by a scooby dealer- at which point I laughed whilst the poor guy stood stoney faced and finally said "they're very popular". I left and will wait to see how the new Eibachs seem when they finally arrive

I've got the 'grey' Eibachs fitted on my MY01 WRX. It is a very worthwhile improvement. Be aware that it does make the ride firmer - not to the point of being uncomfortable, but you will notice uneven road surfaces, pot holes etc.
The upside is much improved handling. Coupled with the much stiffer chassis of the new car (have a look under the rear seat at the socking great strut brace!
), body roll is reduced and cornering is miles better.
As Matt says, get the geometry done properly aswell and this will make a big difference.
Here's a picture of my car, so you know what to expect - ride height has dropped by around 20 mm aswell, losing the 'stilt' look.
Cheers

I have Eibach and geom done at TSL. Totally transformed the car, the turn is is much better and the whole car feels more solid. The ride is a little more firm, but not so that a 3 and a 1/4 hour drive leaves you with back ache.
Chris, seen your car on several threads, very nice m8.
