Default help on lowering springs

guys im looking at a set of lowering springs for my 2004 wrx iv found some and ebay. are the springs off a bugeye 2002 shape the same as the bolb eye 2004 shape , as the bug eye do a 40mm drop and the others iv found stating 2004 are around 20mm to 30mm. any ideas or anyone selling any cheap springs,

ps cant afford coilovers!!

I have just had some Tein 'S' lowering springs fitted to my WRX 2005 Blob.

Initially the wrong ones were sent to me & I only discovered this when they were fitted, when the part no. was checked they were for a 2000 - 2002 car, I assume a Bugeye.

The bugeye rear springs did not fit into the rubber cup housing as the Blobeye rear spring tapers in diameter.

What's your opinion on them? I've read mixed reviews - a lot saying avoid.

I checked with a very trusted person on SNet before I purchased them as I consider myself a newbie in terms of performance cars & am still feeling my way around in terms of gaining knowledge & experience.

As these springs only lower the car 35-40mm at the front & 25-30mm at the rear then they are fine. If you lower it too much it is possible to affect drive shaft & differential integrity.

Only had them on for 4/5 days but no probs so far, the car sits well with them on & ride is a only a little harder than the standard springs TBH.

I am happy with them although I have not had the chance to put the car through it's paces since installation.

Yep bug and blobs are diffrent, I've had eibachs put in mine and are good enough for me
