Hawkeye STI Front strut brace

Just bought one of these from Automax Racing via ebay
It says in the description it'll fit on a hawk sti, but I'm concerned about the gap between the intercooler and the bulkhead not being big enough.
Has anyone fitted one of these to a hawkeye STI by any chance?
