bc coilovers
hey, i know this may have been covered a few time i have had a search but couldnt find what i was wanting, basically I've started to get squeaky shocks and read its best to change to coilovers than buying kyb shocks?
before i got my scoob i had a 206 gti 180 and i upgraded the suspension to AVO coilovers, they were great don't get me wrong they had adjustable damping on them and even on soft they were very hard,
what is the ride quality like on the BC-BR or RM kit as at the moment on my sti I've got the prodrive suspension setup and thats relatively stiff handles great tho, will the bc's be more stiffer than these on soft
Thanks Dan

we have supplied and fitted loads of these bc's over the years and have had no complaints,
also have previously had a set on a car ow my own and enjoyed the experience.
brilliant ride hight and handle unbelievable well.
I would recommend them for the price they come in at.
feel free to get in touch if you want any more information.

It's all in the settings....if you have too stiff springs then the car will be too stiff. 5/4 or even 4/3 will handle ok. I have ER series BCs with 6/5 and they are complient and perfectly civilised except when the roads are broken and in poor condition. I should have followed Bren's advice and gone for 5/4 and am going to put 4/3 on for Winter then the 5/4 set on next year. I'll save the 6/5 for the Ring if I ever get there.....

What he said. Absolutely no more than 5/4 for the road IMHO. Just no need for any harder ride than that. If you're sensitive to ride quality go for 4/3.
Harder does not equal better for the road. It'll just ruin your enjoyment of the car by making it a chore on anything other than smooth surfaces.

Running RM series on MY04 wrx. As you can imagine they are night and day compared to the old oem setup. I have the damper setting to midway and 6/5 springs if I remember, have had them a while now. As mentioned above very firm ride but plenty of adjustment and spring options, well worth the buy.
