The majority are 62mm id. They are available in a variety of lengths. What are you wanting to do?

Looking at changing the rears Bren to try and get rid of the pogo effect from the back end. Tried changing the dampng settings but if I go too soft it feels wallowy, too hard and the rebound over bumps/compressions nearly fires me through the screen. I know the proper solution is BC ER's with seperately adjustable bump/rebound but finances are tight at the minute!

For reference I drive a hawk STI and am running 14 clicks from soft all round.

What spring rates do you have now and what do you want to swap to?

Do you have the OEM style rear top mounts?

Bren,
Not sure which way would be best to go with springs. Could you make a suggestion? I do have the OE style rear mounts as supplied with the kit.

We only have springs to suit the OEM style top mounts in 4 and 5kg.mm.

To go to 6kg.mm would require also swapping to the normal rear to mounts.

How many clicks of adjustment are you going through at a time? Id strongly recommend you do one click at a time rather than 3 or 4.

Bren I only adjust one click at a time as I find the change quite noticeable. 13 clicks is too soft, 14 I can just about live with but 15 gives too much rebound. When you say normal rear mounts, is that the pillow ball type?

On my Blob STi with 6/5 springs I'm currently using 10 clicks from soft on the front and 8 on the rear. I found 14 clicks just too hard on the average public road.

7k front 5k rear for an aggressive daily. 6/4 for more comfort. Some of the guys over here have been using the Swift springs (a nice spring) with the BC and have commented that it has made for a nice change. Even with swapping like for like rates.

I've just bought some RM series second hand, great condition. The springs it's comes with are 8 front and 6 rear. I'm expecting this to be a stiff setup, anyone else running this? If so what damping are you running to compliment it? Just to let you know I'm new to suspension setups.

Hi,

Bren means the non-OEM type of topmount, that can be a plain rubber type, a fixed pillowball or a camber pillowball.

Please bear in mind that the OEM style is used to reduce the noise transmitance into the cabin. A pillowball type rear topmount is generally suggested only for track use where noise transmitence would not be a problem.

Thanks
