Hi, i have a set of hks hypermax coilovers on my gc8 and need to soften them up the damper adjuster is at the bottom of the shock (twisty ****)
my question is which way do i turn to stiffen/soften them up??

Its been awhile since I've messed with HKS but, IIRC, clockwise, stiffens, anti-clockwise, softens. Easiest thing for you is to turn all damper ***** in the same direction, say clockwise, till they stop. Drive around, see how it feels. Then turn them all the opposite direction, drive around, see how it feels. You should be able to tell, between this full soft/hard test which is which.

 

just done this in my lunch break god its made a difference they must of been on the hardest setting , still firm but least iam not bouncing down the road! but pinned out my 4pots with std pads and disks they are ****e! 1st time i been able to push it!
