Default coilover problem

Ive fitted a set of Hks hyper coilovers (purple+silver)
but the adjuster ring was close up against the tyre. so i thought being that i had after market wheels maybe the offset and being 215/45/17 on a 94 classic was wrong so fitted 5mm spacers and it was just clearing it.
Well last nite i fitted my orignal wrx wheels with 205/50/16 tyres and the same thing is happening the tyre is right up against the bottom adjuster ring.
surly this cant be right. it means i have to use the spacers again.
Any ideas what could be wrong!
as i dont want to push the car hard in the bends incase the tyre flexs and cathces.

the tyre shouldn`t catch on bends as its the bottom of the tyre in contact with the road thats flexing, think of a flat tyre only the bit in contact with the road is flat the rest looks normal.

do the tyres foul the lock rings at all four corners or just the front for instance? could it be that when fitted there is too much neg camber? can you take a pic with a wheel off to see the setup?

Its just the rear catching, and its near the top of the tyre that catchs, the rear arnt camber bolts i belive but could be wrong, i will take a wheel of and take a picture. And re-fit the tyre and take another picture. The camber could be my problem, but the standard rear bolts arnt camber set are they? Just thought they were straight bolts. But coily did have a slotted hole,
For a basic set up what would you guys surgest for a camber set up? As i was going to buy one of those camber tools.
