Default tein coilovers are nackered

ive just bought some second hand tein ha coilovers for my99
got them home and both front and rear drivers are bust.
i think the seals have gone because when they are comprest the ram does not try to push back up, i have to pull it back out and it is covered in oil.
the guy i bouht them off said that the seal can just be replaced but, would they not need regasing. tein said they only do a full rebuild at ruffly £250 a corner depending on the condition.
shorly its not as easy as just new seals.
any advice

I hope they change a lot parts for £250. I do Ohlins for rougly £100 per corner. I have a couple of Teins in at the moment that I am attempting to service. Tein will not sell me the seals required so I am looking at retro fitting some std type seals. That will come to just over the £100 per damper mark. I will let you know if it is possible in the near future.
