Default Fix for knocking BC coilovers for £1 (Newage)

Hey,

Ive got a set of meister R's which is a direct replica of the BC coilovers for my Blobeye Impreza sti...

I was getting the same problem knocking on the rear passenger side coilover. This is due to the angle of the coilover so the shocker is knocking on the top mount.

The fix is to get a small exhaust rubber and tie wrap it round the gap at the top as per the image below.... (I know its not a pic of the actual coilover but i didnt bother taking any photos) All in it cost about £1 instead of £xxx to buy a new setup to run OEM springs...

Ensure you wedge the rubber right in the gap and tie wrap it hard so it wont fall out!!!

This fix dont completely eradicate the noise but i would say its about 90% improvement.

You can all thank me by send £1000 to Gsung_is_a_legend@hotmail.com

Does this actually work? Is that where the noise comes from on the rears?

thats a picture of a front bc coilover as it has the camber adjustment on it and the rears dont. unfortunatley you haven't cured anything chap, unless the meister ones are different??

The angle of the coilover when in operation is no way near that severe to touch at that part.
