Hi all. could someone please advise me on a couple of things, I've got a 05(55 plate) sti ppp which I brought from my local subaru dealership. I'm not very mechanically minded but here goes. I know it has a milltek full decat, with a 3" pipe off the turbo. The guy where I have it serviced knows a bit about scooby's and he seems to think it's been remapped, but a mate has a classic and his is dyno'd at 320 bhp and his is much quicker than mine. I've been told with a remap i should expect about 330 bhp, so what could be wrong? Also, I'd like to get it sitting a little lower, any advice on what springs to buy? Advice would be much appreciated. Thx Daz.

 

The classic is a much lighter car - it could simply be a weight issue.

A remap on yours will see it at 330-340 (sometimes more if you are lucky) but it will still struggle to keep up with a similarly powered classic becuase it is about 200 kilos heavier.
