Default Coilovers on STi Wagon dilema

Does anyone have any experience of coilover spring rates on a Classic wagon? Currently in the Apex group buy on Apex coilovers and torn between 5/4 or 4/3 spring rates.

Cars my daily driver and I don't want to ruin my ride quality, but at the same time I'm concerned I might get saggy **** syndrome with 3kg/mm on the rear.
Stock STi rates are about 4/3.5 and I quite like them. Was going 5/4 but seen people running 4/3 on heavier Newages so now don't know what to do.

Thanks

I have been running 4/3 on a classic 4 door (ASt sportlines), the car came with 5/4 but they were IMO too hard for the roads that I drive on. I have the 24mm uprated ARB on the middle setting on the back and it works well with a 22mm front arb on the softer setting.

I don't think you'll be disappointed with 4/3

Thanks Jay. If it was a saloon I'd go 4/3 like a shot, just my wagons going to be around 100kg heavier than your RA (which looks very nice btw) and most of thats towards the rear. Not so worried when its just me as I can set the ride height to cope, but with some weight in the car it could get interesting. Hows yours cope with passengers?

My passengers usually are aged 6 and 3, so don't affect things much!

Having said that the car took the whole family and all luggage up to the peak district over Xmas, ride was fine TBH. remember damping id adjustable so you can always go up a few clicks when you have extra weight

You can of course set the rideheight as you wish, to make sure the car sits levels even with a little load in the rear.

Thanks both. Our lot are a bit older than 6 and 3, but I'm now edging towards the 4/3 set up.
