knock knock
hi peeps.
i have two questions for you.first,my bugeye has a knocking from time to time on some bumps, potholes maybe more from nearside.
i have fitted whitline droplinks and arb mounts last november for a knocking which disappeared but these new knocks have appeared.would i be on the right path looking at the wishbone mounts??
also, when accelerating from a junction/standstill i get this rattle/fast knocking for 2-3 seconds which i thought was the ic hitting my strut brace so i sorted this and the noise remained.its not clutch judder which i get (as most of us do ) .the noise seems to come from drivers footwell so i thought it could be the d/pipe hitting the underbrace but upon inspection it was well clear.
its almost like something is dragging on the road or someone drumming there fingers on the floor!!!im sure its not internal mechanically.its hard to explain.it only really happens when im pulling away sedately!!lol
any help appreciated

not really no but i have just noticed oil leakage from the rear shocks and will have to replace.the noise actually seems more from the front/middle of the car so i thought maybe trailing arms.more recently the knocking is worse on roads like cobblestones.anything that makes the suspension move up and down faster (multi potholes)seems to make the knocking more apparent!!
