I have these on my STI and the front tends to sit atleast an inch higher than the rear.
Can the ride height be adjusted and is there a tool to do it?

Yes. They should be adjustable. Use this tool to adjust the spring perch:



Just be sure to measure how much you're lowering each side so that it matches.

Umm, I suppose, but it would be very difficult, and very annoying. Make your life easy, buy the tool.

 

I never got a tool with them Bob. Powerstation never supplied one. I would give them a call, you'll have the receipt/order number in the folder i gave you. They're only a year old too.

I asked about ride height and they said it was set to the standard height that they normally set it at. Even with the PD springs, it sits higher at the front.

** I'd be super-careful dropping it anymore, it's pretty damn low now, especially with the lip-spoiler. It wont make it up/over some kerbs and might catch on speed bumps.

(I had to replace the splitter after breaking it on a speed bump in edinburgh)

 

I was hoping to raise the rear and drop the front slightly to level it out. There is a crashing at the rear which I suspect may be the car hitting the bump stops.
On my last Newage, the Tein S Tech springs dropped the car 35mm or so at the front which is lower than this particular ride height and I never had an issue.
I'll get onto Powerstation.

 

Scoobs should have some rake i.e. nose down slightly, not nose up.

 

Yeh that was my thoughts, but it sits the other way slightly.

 

Handling wise, it's best to have the nose sit higher than the rear, due to the nose heavy nature of our cars. Having rake on our vehicles will accentuate understeer.

 

you don't need the C Spanner to move it about mate..... The collar at the bottom of the spring has a locking allan key bolt in it, simply undo this and you will be able to lower or heighten the car with your bare handsif you shove enough WD40 on and clean the threads

I ended up shoving two huge allan keys in the holes on the sides of the collar and twisted them that way Take the height measurements from the center of the hub (wheels off) to the bottom of the collar to get them even on both sides

I have my 03sti set-up 14" front and 13.5" rear so slightly nose up by 1/2" (from center of wheel to arch). This is the advice from people in the know. Dont go too low cos if the bottom arms of the front suspension end up being level or worse the arms point upwards your handling will go to pot.
The std sti ride height at the front is very high.

My car is lowered in the same fashion. This is an ideal setup without having to change too much of your suspension geometry. If you would like to go lower, the only way to do so without sacrificing the handling, is to purchase a roll center adjustment kit.

 

I was hoping that would be the case.

I am not massive on handling and throwing the car into bends [learnt from previous driver error] it's more a case of appearance as it doesn't look quite right.

 

I wouldn't upset the handling for looks myself. It handles like a dream, spent a fortune to make it that way. Go around some roads you know and start to get used to it. You probably wouldn't change it then.

 

The rear is suppossed to sit lower than the front as the rear carries alot less weight its set up like that for a good reason. The banging is from worn bushes the front springs also have 2 springs 1 of them is an inner spring to carry the engine weight ..

Spanner wise. knock the perch and spray some cleaner on the threads and adjust accordingly best way is what stealth said..
