HI, to get access to the rear strut tops do you take out the rear seat back, or the boot lining (new age )

 

they're behind the rear seat rob

 

have to take out the back rest part of the seat to get to them

 

As everyone else has siad, they are behind the rear seat. Here's a pic.
The strut cap is just behind the seatbelt tensioner.

so is the damper adjustment on the bottom of BC COILOVERS then ?

 

No there on the top. They come with ajuster extenders. You can poke them up between the seat back and rear shelf or drill a small hole in the rear shelf and stick them up through that, thats what i did on my classic.
