Are the standard rear shock's famous for makin unusual noises? Mine were changed by subaru under warrenty just before i bought the car. But hearing a sort of metallic noise when cornering more noticeable from n/s rear and on uneven ground. Is this common? My car has only covered 50k on an 05 plate.

 

Sorry to say it is and you cant replace with standard with out going through a dealer as they are still licensed by Subaru. Most people on here save up and change to the BC's.

 

My blob sti does it too, every case it seems to be the back ones , wonder if its the stiff set up with no weight over the back that does,nt help ?

 

This is common You may try to regrease them, usually helps for a couple of months.
