Default Strut braces- reduce body roll?

Hi guys- I am suffering a little too much body roll on hard corners (tracks and hill climbs really), and was wondering if strut braces will help?

I know ultimately thicker ARB's will help, but wanted views if you have fitted them? They are just a much easier and cheaper solution at the moment.

All help appreciated.

On a classic, yes, but to get the best out of it, thicker arb's and solid drop links if you haven't got them already, then better suspension, like coilovers.

On newage cars, the body is already supposedly stiff enough, and a strut brace doesn't do a great deal.

Strut braces are meant to stop the body deforming, that may reduce roll by the tiniest amount (assuming they work which is debateable even on a classic) but they don't stiffen the suspension and aren't meant to reduce body roll.

There is a recent thread on here with a video included that shows a classic body still distorting with a rear strut brace fitted.

Not cheaper if they don't help, get an adjustable rear ARB and set it up !

IMHO

P.S. Also easier to fit an ARB than a strut brace..... IMHO

they dont have any effect on body roll
thicker anti roll bars stiffen up roll -get 24mm rear 22mm front and alloy drop links m8

Cheers guys- much appreciated- not sure they will be easier than fitting a strut brace, but will get on the case.

Have alloy drop links (C links I think?) at the rear, and an anti lift kit at the front, with uprated STI shocks (part of the Pro drive WR kit), but still a lot of roll.

I have a 6 point cage as well, so that should help the chassis (a 98 classic), but cant say I find it makes a massive difference.

It it's caged then adding useless weight isn't going to help.

Rear bar is two bolts on mine and swap the drop links...

P.S. I have fitted braces at both ends and a front lower brace BUT mine isn't caged, at the moment.....
