Default Sub frame lock/diff lock kit fitted-wow!

Hi, yesterday i fitted the whiteline rear sub frame lock bolts, and the diff support bushes. I'm amazed how much more tort the car is! It feels much better in the corners, and the knock between heavy gear changes has gone. A very well spent £50!
I've been told they would create more noise, but the only thing thats got louder seems to be on the over run, you can hear a kind of whine. But i can put up with that!

Fitted the subframe lock kit but not got round to doing the bushes so that is another job on the to do list. Along with the uprated engine and gearbox mounts. Looks like a busy weekend coming up soon.

Be prepared for a serious out-break of whine, I fitted the Apex ones and thought the gearbox was dead !

Soon got used to it, like the whine from R888's....

LOL

Mit, get yourself one of these like mine, fully locked !

Beatrush Diff. Member Support Bar for Impreza GC8 on eBay, also, Subaru, Car Parts, Vehicle Parts Accessories (end time 21-Jun-09 02:12:42 BST)

And a new solid pitchstop, now you're talking

Beatrush AluminuPitchingControlRod for Subaru Impreza on eBay, also, Subaru, Car Parts, Vehicle Parts Accessories (end time 28-Jun-09 03:31:31 BST)

Tort is a good word, also the car feels more purposeful as it goes through the gears.

Locks the engine to the chassis. Standard pitchstops use a floating bush which allows great movement or pitch of the engine. Feels fantastic, basically locking both ends of the transmission.

Locks the diff to the subframe which is in turn locked to your chassis via the lockbolts. Stiffer than a stiff thing with a stiffy.

Mine went in ok, but it's a late jap import and very clean under. I wouldn't have trusted my old rusty UK classic to be the same!
I've got a handling bug now, what next!?

The car is already quite noisy with all bushes replaced with either whiteline or powerflex. Just have to turn the stereo up or put my foot down harder.
