Are Eibachs the same a Prodrive??

Hello mate
the front winding is absolutely identical
the rear blues are a fixed poundage spring whereas the grey rear are more progressive. they start softer than the blue but ultimately are harder.
This translates pretty obviously when fitted. Both are very good springs, The grey just seems a little firmer and more communicative IMHO
Hope this helps.. i will dig out the specs and post them as we have had these properly checked by our spring company as we are currently winding a rear that splits the two!
Cheers

Trouser - can you explain "as we are currently winding a rear that splits the two" ??
I was thinking of getting the Eibach greys all round for my MY00 5DR, any offers around at the moment??

And talking of eibachs..
What is the comparison against stock STI springs...
My understanding is that the STI ones are harsh/jarring all the time, whilst the eibachs are more subtle and progressive but on the limit about the same..

The Prodrive springs are different to the Eibach springs currently available. Our kit has been specifically developed whereas Eibach tell me that the kit they sell was actually designed for the older cars and happens to fit the mew one although the rates have not been optimised.

Hi GW
we are trying to obtain a spring rate (still trying ) that has the nice compliant feel of the prodrive spring for every day hacking about but offers a bit more "feel" and precision for track days and quick-quick country lanes
For 00 cars.. grey is the way to go! ... especially as they are quite delightful with the 99-00 dampers!
have never properly measured the Sti but they do appear to be a tad firmer.
Hope this helps
cheers

Just to help you out, Eibach have quoted their spring rate as Front approx 33 N/mm, Rear approx 28 N/mm. The Subaru sports kit (this isn't the Prodrive springs, but supposedly the STi ones) for the WRX is quoted as 38.0 N/mm Front and 33.4 N/mm Rear.

Mike & Paul, Cheers thanks for the information.
The only problem now is that I have to choose on the spring type, as I was under the impression that the Prodrive springs came on the dampers @ £1600 a set. So for someone who likes the twisties, but also does motorway driving which would be the better of the two?? My Scooby is a MY00 5DR (green if it makes a difference ).
Oh, do the Prodrive springs drop the height at all and last but not least....how much??
Thanks in advance

I have Eibachs on my MY'00 wagon, and the ride is now much better than standard, it sit's about an inch lower and handling is much improved to (had alignment done at same time). All seems a bit of a contradiction, but it's true.
Seems to 'flow' down the twisties now... if that makes sense...
Cheers
