I had this problem with my old Jeep.

The wheels had a lock nut and the socket was broken. It was one of those round ones so no way of gripping it.

I only use a small tyre place for my cars rather than the large spanner monkey firms. They advised me to go to a local garage/engineering workshop and they popped them all off in a few minutes with some special tool.

Ask around the local garages - the ones that look like they'll turn their hand at anything and you'll find one old boy who can get them off.

Halfords sell a locking wheel nut removal tool, it will work if your locking nut doesn't have a rotating outer sleeve.
