55 Wrx300 Suspension / Steering problem
Hi,
Ive been having some problems with my 55 plate wrx300. It is pulling to the left quite badly, and requires me to hold the steering wheel to the right for the car to go straight. If i take my hands off the wheel while at speed it straightens up and the car goes left. Ive had the alignment done twice by different garages, but its still the same. Ive had the brakes checked, swapped the wheels around, had mechanics look at the suspension components and noone can find the problem. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue and had it resolved as ive seen lots of posts on various forums but noone seems to have any info on it. cheers

Have you any history ?
Have you just bought it ?
It may need to be "jigged" as in chassis alignment, not steering geometry...
Are the tyres wearing assymetrically ? Have you kerbed it ?
dunx

Hey guys,
Basically i got the car around a year ago, and within the first few days of having it i hit a speedbump quite hard. The car itself was purchased from phoenix honda, has had 1 female owner from new, 17k on the clock and full subaru service history from the garage it was first purchased.
To be honest i hadnt driven the car long enough before i hit the speedbump to guarantee it wasnt pulling before this, although i hadnt noticed any problems.
As said in the earlier post ive had pretty much everything checked, and today i had the alignment checked again, which came back as being fine apart from a little toe adjustment needed on one of the back wheels. Toe got adjusted and its still the same. It was pointed out that the rear camber was off a little, and this may be causing the problem although im not sure. Got whiteline rear camber bolts on order, should be on the start of next week.
The tyres at the moment are all the same type and are all wearing evenly, although i have had the front right replaced due to excessive wear around 4 months ago. It was a different make to the others, but just as new and wore out in a ridiculously short period of time.
As stated im going for the camber bolts to see if that helps, but other than that im pretty much out of ideas

Had it done 3 times since january this year mate, each time its been done using the 4 wheel laser alignment.
Front camber is the same on each side, toe on all 4 wheels is 0, rear camber was something like 1.30 and 0.70 (Roughly these numbers, cant remember exact numbers or which side was which).

Yeh this isnt camber in the road pulling it, tested it on a few country roads where the road is sloping down to the right and it still pulls to the left.
Ive also had a try in a few other subaru's and they ride dead straight on roads my car pulls on.
Found out the numbers for the rear camber earlier, left is at 1.07 and the right is at 1.31, which adds further confusion as i read that the car will pull in the direction of the wheel with most positive camber.
Back right has highest, yet it goes left.....
