Default Whiteline KLC39 droplinks. Too short

I have tried to fit my new Whiteline KLC39 droplinks, and they appear to be too short. I can only grab a couple of threads. It says in the fitting instructions I need 10mm to 12mm of thread. This was the correct part according to a few different suppliers I looked at. Anyone know which part number I should have gone for? Perhaps the universal kit KLC40-090
The car is a 93 wrx with alloy wishbones.
I've noticed on looking at a few other cars with original balljointed type droplinks, there appears to be a short type and a long type.

Rose-jointed ones ?

Send them back and get the poly-bushed ones from Geo (cusco kid).

I got a set and within months they were shot, Whiteline sent me a free pair and they lasted four months even with regular cleaning and lubing.... Noise did my head in, so thrown away !

IMHO.

Two months you'll be throwing them away....

Knock-links, IMHO.
