Default tien fitting

fitting my new monoflex and ive just snapped 2 bolts on the top mounts
help me here because i tightened the nut and there was no stop point (the point where the nut stops before you apply serious pressure) then before i know it snap. twice! what the ***k.
either there faulty or im superman.
feedback would be worth while.
im pricing up for a new mount too aghhh

I wouldn't like to shake you by the hand

I suspect that the nuts are 'bottoming out' meaning they run out of thread prior to actually tightening against the cars suspension turret. Either that, or you are trying to 'pull' the suspension mount up by the small threaded bolt. The strut should be pushed up into the turret fully, held there with a jack, then each nut tightened in turn until it's pinched up.

Rather than spend a fortune on new top mounts, drill the old stud out, fit a bolt from underneath up through the top mount and the cars chassis and then fit a nut, cheaper and just as good.
