Hi,do these shocks look fooked ??

if i push the drivers front down side it creaks and kocks and does the same when i pull it up.
the passenger front creaks only on the way down.
the rear 2 dont do it unless i stand in the boot and jump up and down , but nowhere as bad as the fronts .


all the shocks have the similar marks on as pics.

Hi Craig, looking at a Shock insitu(fitted on the car) like that with springs on etc is very difficult to make a judgement. Unless of course it's leaking, which you should be able to see.

Only proper test is to get the Shock off and physically test it yourself..
Push down on the Piston and it should be rather hard to do(retract), if it goes in easily without much resistance,, then yes it's goosed....
Same goes for the rebound(extention), if it's lazy or not extending on it's own strength, then I would say it's pretty much shot!

If those are still standard issue you have on there, I would put money on those Shocks being goosed......
The Impreza seems to eat Shocks for breakfast somehow.
